For this film, I was honoured to work with North Wales based 'Crumpet Moon'.
Their wonderful founder and director Matthew Burnham-Jones came to me to produce the hand drawn animation
and background designs for this amazing project based on the recorded stories of Little Giant...
Little Giant:
The legend of drifting rock

This first instalment of 'Little Giant' is based on one of the many stories told by the real life Little Giant when interviewed by his daughter in 2022, and marks the first collaboration between 'Crumpet Moon' and 'Ryan.J.Jones Art'.
The aim was to create a film reminiscent of the classic 50's hand drawn animations such as the Flintstones and bring the flamboyant and over the top character of
Little Giant to life.
Taking the amazing character designs of Matthew Burnham-Jones, we wanted to include as much hand drawn animation as possible, allowing for squash and stretch and a sketchy style that is in keeping with the classics of the 50's.
Adobe Animate was used for the character animation, and Adobe Photoshop
for the background designs.
